What's the difference between a freight forwarder and a customs broker?
A freight forwarder arranges moving the goods from abroad to Israel – by sea or air. A customs broker handles the import declaration, duties and release from customs. With us, both run together with one contact.
What documents do I need to import?
Usually a commercial invoice, a packing list and a bill of lading (or air waybill). Depending on the product, a certificate of origin and standards approvals may also be needed.
How long does customs clearance take?
When documents and permits are ready in advance – usually a few days from arrival. Delays mostly come from missing documents, standards approvals or a physical inspection.
What's the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL is a full container that's all yours. LCL is a part-load, where your goods share a container and you pay for the actual volume or weight. For small quantities, LCL is usually cheaper.
What's the difference between EXW and FOB?
Under EXW the supplier hands over the goods at the factory, and pickup and transport to the port are the buyer's responsibility. Under FOB the supplier loads the goods onto the ship at the origin port, and responsibility passes to the buyer from there. We handle both.
How do I know if my product needs a standards approval?
It depends on the tariff classification and the type of product. We check the import requirements before you order, so the goods aren't held at customs.
Can you pay the import duties for us?
Yes. We can pay the duties on your behalf and bill you in the final invoice, with the payment receipts attached.
Is the shipment insured?
Shipments aren't insured by default. Marine (All-Risk) insurance is available on request, and we'll include it in the quote.
Do you also find suppliers?
Yes. We find and check suppliers in Turkey and China, based on your product, quantities and budget.
How fast do I get a quote?
Within 24 hours of receiving the shipment details.
